Guide to Fault Diagnosis and Repair of Bubble Film Machine

Nov 2024-11-10

The bubble film machine plays an important role in the packaging industry. However, it may malfunction. Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair of these faults are crucial for maintaining production efficiency and product quality. The following are the methods for diagnosing and repairing common faults of the bubble film machine.

I. Uneven or Burst Bubbles
1. Diagnosis
Check the raw materials: Observe whether there are impurities, dampness, and check the stock in the hopper and whether the pipeline is unobstructed.
Evaluate the temperature: Measure the temperatures of the extruder and the die head and compare them with the standard temperatures.
Check the mold: Check whether there are blockages in the flow channel, the condition of the die orifice and the suitability of the mold structure.
2. Repair
Raw material treatment: Screen or replace with high-quality materials if there are impurities, dry the damp materials, and clean the hopper and the pipeline.
Temperature adjustment: Adjust the temperatures according to the properties of the materials and the requirements of the machine, and observe the changes in the quality of the bubbles.
Mold maintenance: Polish the slightly worn molds, clean the blocked ones, and redesign or replace the molds if there are design problems.

II. Uneven Film Thickness
1. Diagnosis
Check the screw speed: Check the set value and measure whether the actual speed fluctuates.
Measure the traction speed: Measure the actual speed and compare it with the extrusion speed to calculate the matching degree.
Check the die head gap: Use tools to measure whether there are deviations in the gaps of different parts of the die head.
2. Repair
Stable screw speed: Repair or replace the motor or control system if there is a fault, and adjust the parameters.
Traction speed matching: Adjust the traction speed accurately according to the extrusion speed by adjusting the speed or transmission ratio of the motor.
Die head gap adjustment: Make fine adjustments with the adjusting bolts while measuring the film thickness at the same time.

III. Excessive Machine Noise
1. Diagnosis
Check the mechanical transmission parts: Check whether the bearings and other parts are worn, lack of oil or improperly installed.
Evaluate the motor running condition: Check the condition of the motor fan, winding and bearing.
Listen to the sound source: Identify whether the noise comes from specific parts or resonance.
2. Repair
Transmission part maintenance: Replace the worn parts with new ones, add oil if lacking, and readjust the improperly installed parts.
Motor repair: Replace the fan if it is damaged, repair or replace the motor if there is a fault in the winding, and replace the bearing if it is damaged.
Resonance treatment: Adjust the installation foundation, add shock-absorbing pads or change the structural stiffness.

IV. Heating System Failure
1. Diagnosis
Check the heating element: Measure the resistance to judge whether there is an open circuit or short circuit, and observe whether there are abnormal phenomena on the surface.
Check the thermostat: Check the set value, measure the output signal and check the connection line.
Evaluate the power supply: Check the voltage, fuse and contactor.
2. Repair
Replacement of heating element: Replace it with a suitable element according to the equipment if it is damaged, and pay attention to the installation and connection.
Thermostat adjustment and repair: Reset the set value if it is wrong, repair or replace it if the output signal is abnormal or there is an internal circuit fault.
Power supply repair: Repair the fuse, check the line fault and ensure the normal operation of the control elements.

V. Unneat Winding
1. Diagnosis
Check the tension control system: Observe the tension sensor, the parameter settings of the controller and the tension adjustment mechanism.
Evaluate the state of the winding roller: Check the surface wear, the concentricity and diameter change and whether there is mechanical damage.
Observe the flatness of the film: Check whether there are wrinkles and other conditions.
2. Repair
Tension control optimization: Repair or replace the sensor if it fails, adjust the controller according to the parameters of the film, and check the tension adjustment mechanism.
Winding roller maintenance: Repair or replace the surface-worn winding roller, correct or replace the new one if there are problems with concentricity or diameter.
Film quality improvement: Check the relevant links of the bubble film machine to find the reasons and solve them, such as adjusting the parameters of the cooling air ring and the traction roller.

Accurate diagnosis and timely repair of common faults of the bubble film machine can improve the reliability and production efficiency of the equipment, reduce costs and ensure the stable quality of product. Regular maintenance of the equipment and the establishment of equipment files and fault records will help prevent faults and quickly solve possible problems.
